Georgetown's Dahlgren Chapel vandalized
Georgetown University's Dahlgren Chapel is back open to the public Monday after vandals broke in and caused minor damage inside the building.
In an email to students, Georgetown President John DeGioia said that someone broke in sometime before Sunday morning masses and damaged some furniture.
According to the Georgetown Voice, though, a crucifix inside Dahlgren Chapel was slightly damaged, but it didn't rise to the level of being called desecration.
The blog also says that security in and around the chapel, which is located on the southern end of Georgetown's campus, will be increased.
