Kate Snyder, Old Mills High teacher, under investigation
A social studies teacher and assistant track coach at Old Mills High School has been reassigned indefinitely pending the results of an investigation, The Capital Gazette reports.
Because it is a personnel issue, neither the principal nor the school system will say why Kate Snyder is under investigation.
A substitute teacher has already been assigned for Snyder's classes. She has also been relieved of her duties as assistant track coach, Student Government Association advisor and senior class advisor.
In a letter released Friday, principal James Todd stated, in part:
I urge you as parents to talk with your child and do everything you can to minimize those rumors. To do anything contrary to that would not be in the best interests of our students.
