With the first part of Metro’s Silver Line set to open later this year, there will also be big changes for Metro buses.

Fairfax County will hold a series of meetings beginning Monday night asking for feedback on a revised plan for new bus schedules and routes once trains begin running from Wiehle-Reston East to East Falls Church.

The changes include the addition of a single Fairfax Connector route from Reston to the Pentagon and Crystal City to replace two routes that are set to be shut down, as well as the rerouting of some new buses.

The service changes impact the Tysons, Mclean, Vienna, Reston and Herndon areas as well as the Dulles corridor.

The first phase of the Silver Line is scheduled to open at the end of 2013.
