Michael Brown drops out of D.C. Council race
Former D.C. Councilman Michael Brown dropped out of the race for an at-large seat, which would have put him back on the council.
In a statement on his website, Brown said, "It is with extreme disappointment that I am announcing my withdrawal from the at-large council race. I have some very important personal and family matters that require my immediate attention."
Brown served one term before losing to David Grosso last Nov.
Voters head to the polls on April 23.
