Sequestration could hurt American intelligence efforts

Budget cuts due to sequestration could have a major negative effect on how well the United States can gather and process intelligence, Federal Times reports.

In a briefing late last week, James Clapper, the director of national intelligence, said that the cuts would lead to the nation "accepting greater risk" and, like most other agencies, cause the need for furloughs.
