Suspects sought in Glen Burnie robbery, assault

As many as six suspects are being sought in the Tuesday robbery of a 64-year-old man in Glen Burnie, during which the victim was hit with his own walking stick.

The robbery happened at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday near the Toys 'R' Us in the 6700 block of Ritchie Highway, inside the Glen Burnie Towne Center. The victim told police that six black men walked up to him, threatened him and demanded items from him.

Anne Arundel County Police say that several of the suspects then robbed and assaulted him. During the attack, the victim told police that one of the suspects took his walking stick and began to hit him, knocking him to the ground.

The suspects, all described as black men ranging in age from their late teens to early 20s, then fled and remain at large.
