Worcester County schools on lockdown as police search for suspect

Several schools on Maryland's Eastern Shore were placed on lockdown Monday morning while authorities searched for a man wanted for making threats of terror in Delaware, officials say.

Worcester County authorities say they're on the lookout for a white man with a stocky build, standing 5-foot-8 inches tall with black hair and black facial hair. He's wanted in Delaware for making terroristic threats and may be armed.

WBOC has identified the suspect as 24-year-old Jessey Dudley, who did not return to a Georgetown, Del. corrections center after being given an authorized pass.

According to WBOC, several schools have been placed on lockdown due to the search, including:

  • Snow Hill Elementary School
  • Snow Hill Middle School
  • Snow Hill High School
  • Cedar Chapel Special School
  • Worcester Technical High School
  • Worcester County Board of Education Central Office
