Ballston BB&T Bank branch robbed

Arlington County Police are searching for the man who robbed a BB&T bank Monday morning.
The branch is located at Fairfax Drive and N. Taylor Street, which is about a block from the Ballston Metro station.
A police spokesman says the suspect, who did not imply he had a weapon, passed a note to a teller demanding money. None of the five employees or two customers were injured.
Detectives describe the suspect as a 5-foot-7-inch tall black man who was wearing a green trench coach, khakis, a red scarf, glasses and a Boston Red Sox hat. He also wore a backpack during the robbery.
