Churchill High School coach tattooed after team wins regionals
Scott Blackwood has gotten his share of ink lately. Blackwood coaches baseball at Churchill High School in Potomac.
Early this season, his team was going nowhere fast. They were three and 10.
So one of the players had an idea: Get a tattoo for winning the regionals. The coach obliged. After all, Churchill hadn’t won Regionals since 1985.
They kept fighting and refused to give up.
The Bulldogs went from bad news to couldn't lose. They won eight straight and the regionals. And the coach got his tattoo - a bulldog, the Churchill mascot – on his arm.
Some of the players didn't think coach would follow through. Now they want more.
