Dulles emergency exercise involves 100 volunteers
WASHINGTON (AP) - More than 100 volunteer actors are participating in a simulated aircraft accident at Dulles International Airport outside Washington.
Saturday's exercise will include a trainer aircraft that will be lit on fire. More than 50 emergency vehicles are expected to participate in addition to the actors who will simulate injuries.
The exercise is taking place on a closed runway and is not expected to affect airport operations. The exercise will test the airport's emergency plan and provide hands-on training.
