GSA to pay $3 million to contracted small businesses
The General Services Administration will pay more than $3 million to government-contracted small businesses who did not receive minimum guaranteed payments for their services, the Washington Business Journal reports.
Of the thousands of companies that had government contracts canceled between 2008 and 2012, nearly 1,300 of them are classified as small businesses that were guaranteed at least $2,500 in sales. The government is required to make up for any shortfall if the contract is canceled.
The Business Journal reports, though, that the GSA has not made those payouts.
