Kerry Washington speaks at George Washington University's commencement
One of the hottest stars on television was back in D.C. for her alma mater's commencement. Kerry Washington addressed students at George Washington University Sunday morning. Washington is the star of ABC’s hit show, “Scandal” and plays “Olivia Pope”.
During her speech, she talked about her college years in the 1990s, the importance of financial aid and why students should follow their dreams. Washington is a 1998 graduate of GW.
More than 25,000 people attended the commencement, which took place on the National Mall.
