Kyle Druckemiller charged with building bombs
WASHINGTON (AP) - A Maryland man has been charged with building and possessing pipe bombs.
Montgomery County prosecutors on Thursday announced an indictment against 19-year-old Kyle G. Druckemiller of Chevy Chase.
Authorities say they were contacted in April by the father of Druckemiller's girlfriend, who reported finding what appeared to be two pipe bombs while searching his duffel bag.
Charging documents say Druckemiller learned how to build bombs from YouTube and traveled to South Carolina last fall to purchase fireworks. The documents don't reveal why Druckemiller would had the bombs.
Online court records don't list a lawyer for Druckemiller, and a telephone listing for him could not immediately be found.
