Netflix 'Streamageddon' eliminates hundreds of streaming movies
Movie buffs will very soon have far fewer titles to choose from on Netflix in a move that industry watchers haven given an ominous name - Streamageddon.
According to Slate, the streaming media giant will stop offering hundreds of movies Wednesday previously available on its instant streaming platform, which is available through desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, tablets and streaming TV modules like Roku and Apple TV.
Many users have reported to Slate and other outlets that their Instant Queues have disappeared; in its place, Netflix users are seeing different variations of the home screen.
A full list of streaming titles that will get the axe as part of Streamageddon can be found at instantwatcher.com.
