Power being restored to Northwest D.C. residents
Hundreds of Northwest D.C. residents were without lights and air conditioning Friday. More than 1,000 customers lost power when a pair of underground lines blew near 11th and P Streets on Thursday. Crews worked throughout the night to restore power, which was expected to be fully restored by 8 a.m. Friday.
Garrison Elementary School is closed Friday due to the outage. All other District of Columbia Public Schools are open.
