Steve Carrington Durham, arrested in Stafford County heroin bust
The Stafford County Sheriff's Office has made a historic drug bust. They say they've uncovered two kilograms of heroin with a street value worth $270,000.
Steve Carrington Durham of New Jersey has been arrested after investigators say they found the heroin in the trunk of his car.
The bust was part of an investigation that began in early May when the Sheriff's office got word that a large quantity of heroin was to be delivered from Stafford County to the Fredericksburg area.
Durham has been charged with one Count Possession With Intent to Distribute a Schedule I or II Narcotic. At the time of his arrest in Virginia, Durham was out on bond for a similar offense in New Jersey. Police say additional charges are likely.
This seizure is one of the largest of its type in this region’s history.
