Tri-County Parkway vote delayed by Prince William County officials
A vote that would have thrown support behind the long-debated Tri-County Parkway in Northern Virginia was unanimously delayed Tuesday by Prince William County officials.
The Washington Post reports that the 10-mile road, whose title is a misnomer because current plans have it only connecting Prince William and Loudoun Counties, continues to face vocal opposition, the Washington Post reports.
The Post says that Tuesday's vote came less than a week after Virginia's Commonwealth Transportation Board also delayed a vote of support on the project.
VDOT will hold an informational meeting on June 3 about the latest plans for what they're now calling the Bi-County Parkway.
