Washington Hilton bomb incident: Man claims to have bomb in hotel garage

Authorities deemed the Washington Hilton hotel safe after a man in the  parking garage on Connecticut Avenue NW allegedly claimed to have a bomb.

Authorities investigated the incident at the hotel, located at 1919 Connecticut Avenue NW and cleared the hotel of danger at about 1 p.m.

Authorities shut down roads at T Street and Connecticut Avenue and T Street and Florida Avenue during the incident. The roads have since been reopened.
