Bryce Harper to see Dr. James Andrews
Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper will see noted orthopedic surgeon James Andrews about his knee on Monday.
Harper has been placed on the 15-day disabled list because of bursitis in his left knee.
He missed the last five games and has been bothered by the knee since he crashed into the wall in a May 13 game at the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Before Thursday night's game was declared a rainout, fans entering Nationals Park told ABC7 they were concerned about Harper.
"Really been a big shame," said Matt Espejo, who was wearing a Harper jersey. "I'm a big fan, I like watching him, he's a great player, and I really hate to see him out."
But fans also said they hope Harper takes as much time as he needs to get completely healthy before he returns to the lineup.
"Whatever it takes for him to get well, let's do that," said fan Wayne Somerville.
