Calvert Co. medic crash kills one

Police in Calvert County are investigating a deadly crash between an emergency medic and another car.

Police say the medic was responding to a call in Lusby when it collided with another vehicle.

Police say the medic was responding to a call around 4:30 p.m. Monday when it struck a car in the southbound lanes of Route 4 near Sixes Road in Prince Frederick.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead on scene. The paramedic was taken to Baltimore Shock Trauma and is in stable condition.

The crash closed Route 4 for several hours.
