An Anne Arundel County lawmaker convicted in a boating crash is in hot water - again.

Del. Don Dwyer, who last month was convicted of operating a boat while drunk, was cited for illegal crabbing in Sillery Bay this week.

A Maryland regulation, intended to protect the crab population, bans crabbing from boats on Wednesdays. The violation carries a $500 fine.

David Fischer, Dwyer's attorney in the boating case, says Dwyer wasn't aware of the citation.

The citation comes a little over a month after Dwyer pleaded guilty to operating his boat while drunk last August. He and another boater collided, injuring seven people including Dwyer and several children.

Dwyer was sentenced to 30 days in jail, one year of supervised probation, and a $1,000 fine. He immediately filed an appeal.
