Flood Warning issued for eastern Prince George's County

A Flood Warning has been issued for eastern Prince George's County as a river in the area is rapidly approaching its flood stage.

The National Weather Service says it expects the western branch of the Patuxent River to rise past its flood stage of 11 feet by midday Tuesday. At 10:15 a.m., officials say the water had already reached 10.22 feet.

Officials say that portions of Water Street are already flooded.

The warning runs through 4:45 p.m.
