IRS to end relationship with Strong Castle over fraud allegations

A software firm that won upwards of $500 million in contracts from the Internal Revenue Service will soon see its relationship end with the agency over allegations of fraud and preferential treatment, Federal News Radio reports.

Strong Castle, Inc., a Washington-based government IT firm, allegedly used fraud to win lucrative contracts with the IRS, Federal News Radio Jared Serbu reports.

The investigation focused on the relationship between an IRS executive and the owner of Strong Castle, during which it's alleged that the IRS employee gave inside information to the company.
