Leonardtown crash leaves two teens seriously injured, Honda split in half
Two teens were seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash that left a 2003 Honda Accord split in half in Leonardtown early Sunday morning.
Conner Riley Nauman,19, lost control of the car, swerved off the road and hit a telephone pole then a tree, according to a statement from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office.
Nauman, of Clements, Md., and a 16-year-old female passenger from Mechanicsville, were both ejected from the car. They were flown to Prince George's Shock Trauma and both were described as having incapacitating injuries.
The crash happened at about 4:15 a.m. on Society Hill Road near Breton View Drive in Leonardtown.
Alcohol and speed are believed to be contributing factors.
