Anne Arundel County Police say that the three people were arrested June 20 at a Baltimore-area hotel after coming across an ad on Backpage.com, a site notorious for posting ads for sexually-based service, with a young-looking woman.

Through an undercover operation, authorities determined that Michael D. Boswell, a Raleigh, N.C. man, was running a prostitution business out of a hotel in Linthicum. He was also setting up transportation for clients to get to and from women.

Boswell and the two women, 22-year-old Ashley Gassaway of Greensboro, N.C. and 19-year-old Regina Tyson, were arrested and charged. Boswell was charged with human trafficking, prostitution and drug posession, while Gassaway and Tyson were both charged with prostitution and various drug charges.

Authorities say that at the time of his arrest, Boswell was out of jail on bond for felony pandering and prostitution charges in Henrico County. The terms of his probation in Raleigh were supposed to prevent him from leaving that area.
