Quaker Lane closed due to water main break
A portion of Quaker Lane in Alexandria will remain closed into the afternoon while crews repair a water main break in the area, according to WTOP.
The 12-inch main broke at about 7 a.m. in the 200 block of North Quaker Lane, near its intersection with Duke Street.
A Virginia American Water spokesperson says that the road will remain closed between Duke Street and Seminary Road through about 3 p.m.
During that time, crews will repair not only the main, but several lanes of northbound Quaker Lane that were damaged by the main break.
