Suspect arrested for NW D.C. attempted sex assault
D.C. police say a man who allegedly tried to sexually assault a 60-year-old woman in northwest D.C. on June 5 is now in custody.
Police say 58-year-old Paul Mannina of Ashton, Maryland, was charged with assault with the intent to commit first degree sexual assault while armed, and burglary while armed in connection with the incident in the 2700 block of Chesapeake Street, NW.
Mannina had a Taser and attempted to sexually assault the adult female attorney before fleeing, police say. According to police, the suspect knew the victim.
