Teresa Lentz missing: Family, sheriff's office step up search
The family of the 49-year-old mother who went missing in Frederick County last week is appealing to the public to come forward if they have any knowledge of where she may be, the Frederick News-Post reports.
Teresa Lentz was last heard from at about 1:30 p.m. last Wednesday, about an hour after she left her Bartonsville Road home. Her SUV, with her keys and phone inside, was discovered a few miles away later that night, but there was no trace of her.
Since her disappearance, the News-Post reports that her husband and children have been canvassing several neighborhoods with posters and photos, looking for anyone who may have seen her.
"We have numerous investigators working on the case," Frederick County Sgt. Jennifer Bailey told the News-Post. "It is a priority for the office."
Lentz is described as standing 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds. She has brown, shoulder-length hair, hazel eyes and wears glasses. Her family told authorities that they have no reason to believe she would leave the area without telling them.
