'The Way Way Back' movie review
"The Way Way Back," an indie comedy, is quickly becoming a summer favorite, despite not being a blockbuster.
In the film, Duncan, played by Liam James, goes to the beach with his mother and her new boyfriend, Trent, played by Steve Carrell.
“The Way Way Back” is the backward-facing back seat of Trent's station wagon, where Duncan finds himself stuck in a place the adults don’t notice him.
One day Duncan discovers a water park run by Owen, played by Sam Rockwell, who takes him under his wing.
Funny and touching with a good cast, word is spreading about “The Way Way Back,” a summer’s movie gem.
At the movies this weekend, “Despicable Me 2” held first place while Adam Sandler’s “Grown Ups” sequel came close.
