A Northwest D.C. landlord restored power to an apartment building that had been in the dark for weeks.

The power was restored to the apartment located on 1st Street Northwest on Friday. A judge gave the landlord a 4 p.m. Friday deadline to restore the power or face jail time.

People who live at the apartment say workers left behind shoddy electrical wires and Pepco told them it needed to be fixed before their power could be turned back on because it's a fire hazard.
