Alexandria shooting leaves man in critical
Alexandria Police are investigating a Wednesday morning shooting that left one man in critical condition and another man injured.
The shooting occurred before 7 a.m. in the 5400 block of Holmes Run Parkway. Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the event.
A 35-year-old adult male has been flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital and is in critical condition with wounds to the body.
Another man was treated on the scene for a gunshot wound to the hand. After being interviewed by detectives, the 23-year-old man was transported to Inova Alexandria Hospital for further media treatment.
The man in critical condition is a former resident of the home and was there to pick up personal items from his estranged wife. The man with the hand wound was visiting the home.
A pistol was recovered at the scene.
