Veterans and volunteer landscapers are cleaning up the grounds of Arlington National Cemetery.

Every year they prune and mulch as a tribute to the fallen soldiers buried there. An opening ceremony was held Monday morning. Children also laid wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknowns.

The veterans and volunteers are members of PLANET, a national landscaping association. The event was the 17th Annual Renewal & Remembrance beautification project.
