Pregnant cow loose in Fairfax County
A pregnant cow - which was originally thought to be a bull - remains on the loose somewhere in Fairfax County, officials say.
Authorites began getting several calls Thursday afternoon about possible bull sightings in the area of Braddock and Doyle roads. Animal Control officers were not able to locate the animal.
Fairfax County Police spokesman Ofc. Bud Walker said Friday, though, that the loose animal is actually a pregnant cow. Its owners have contacted authorities and say it's not the first time the cow has escaped.
The cow has still not been located. Its owners say they've put out cornmeal in an attempt to lure the cow home.
