D.C. fast food restaurants shut down by tax office
D.C.’s tax office shut down nine fast food restaurants because the owner hasn’t paid almost half a million dollars in taxes.
D.C.’s Office of Tax and Revenue says Yasmin Parveen, owner of the Subways, KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut stores that are closed, hasn’t paid sales taxes despite receiving multiple notices.
The fast food restaurants were located in Northeast and Northwest D.C.
