Body of drowning victim Nate Young found
ARNOLD, Md. (AP) - Maryland Natural Resources Police say they have found the body of a man believed to have drowned after he drifted away from a boat in the Magothy River in the Arnold area.
Police and Anne Arundel County fire officials located the body of 27-year-old Nate Young of Annapolis on Friday evening. Authorities say Young was swimming with friends on July 4. He jumped from a boat but couldn't get back to the boat.
Police say Young's friends tried to rescue him, but were struggling to stay above water themselves. Young went under the water and never emerged.
Young's body is being taken to the state medical examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. He was originally from Michigan and recently moved to Annapolis.
