Fairfax County Connector service suspended due to flooding
Flooding from heavy rains overnight trapped all Fairfax County Connector buses in its garage early Friday morning. The transit area had suspended all south county service but they now have at least one bus on each route. Riders can continue to expect delays.
For those affected by Fairfax Connector’s south county service disruption, authorities suggest the REX bus along Richmond Highway, the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) Fredericksburg Line trains from Lorton VRE, or Metrobus Route 1C between Dunn Loring Metro and Inova Fairfax Hospital via Gallows Rd. and
Metrobus Route 2C between Tysons Corner Center and Lee Hwy via Gallows Rd. and Dunn Loring Metro.
