Jane Wicker, wing walker killed in Ohio, remembered
Wing-walking through the missing man formation was a fitting flying farewell for Jane Wicker.
The 44-year-old wing walker and Bristow mother of two died when the plane she was performing on crashed during an airshow in Ohio in late June
Her pilot Charlie Schwenker also died.
In front of a large crowd of family and friends at the family circus aerodrome in Bealeton, where Wicker was first picked to be a wing walker years ago, a lone plane scattered her ashes.
She'd planned to marry her fiancé while standing on the wing of a flying airplane. Instead, he read a poem dedicated to his beloved wing women.
Wicker said in an interview that she didn't get nervous when performing and had never had a close call. Now the NTSB is investigating the cause of the crash that took her life.
