Washington Redskins give back at food bank
Redskins Wide Receiver Josh Morgan can’t wait for his real job to start.
He and a couple of his fellow D.C. public school alums – Marvin Austin and Tavon Wilson – could have spent these days last few days before training camp relaxing or lying on a beach somewhere. But instead, they were at the massive Capital Area Food Bank giving back.
The trio is helping those who help the less fortunate day in and day out.
“We got medicine for them if they need it,” Morgan said. “We’ve got three-course meals for them. We’re just trying to get it delivered the right way to the right people.”
Cecilia Vergaretti, one of the directors at the food bank, says, “I think it’s great because they have an audience lots of times we can’t reach.”
