Two pit bulls are back with their owner Monday but remain quarantined at an L Street home after cornering a woman and biting a man who tried to step into help her.

The two pit bulls attacked several people at the Hechinger Mall in Northeast Washington Saturday. One man was bitten in the face and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

One man is now being hailed as a hero for stopping the pit bulls.

But Wilbert Crews doesn't call himself a hero: But for others, the 66-year old retired sanitation worker, who came face to face with the dogs, is at the very least a good Samaritan.
