Child, two adults injured in crash in Southwest D.C.

A child was critically injured Sunday when a car left the roadway and crashed in Southwest Washington, authorities say.
The child and two adults were taken to a hospital after the car they were in crashed and ended up on its roof in the 100 block of Joliet Street Southwest.
The child suffered life-threatening injuries. The adults' injuries were non-life threatening, a D.C. Fire/EMS spokesperson said.
Four people were in the vehicle when it crashed. The call came in at 2:44 p.m. The occupants of the car were able to get out before EMS personnel arrived at 2:48 p.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
