George Washington cracking down on loud parties in Foggy Bottom

George Washington University is taking steps to stiffen penalties for students who misbehave and hold noisy, disruptive parties off-campus, the GW Hatchet reports.

As part of the crackdown, the university is creating an online form for residents of D.C.'s Foggy Bottom Neighborhood to report loud parties and objectionable behavior. The school also will change its policies to allow for discipline after a second report of ill behavior.

"This is a series of attempts to address behavior in some different ways," GWU Dean of Student Affairs Peter Konwerski said, according to the Hatchet.
