Greenbelt robbery: Tom Thorton, Nathaniel Beckham arrested

Two Prince George's County men face several charges after police say they robbed a man at gunpoint in Greenbelt last week.

Police say the victim was walking in the 9700 block of Good Luck Road around 4 a.m. on Aug. 20 when he was confronted by Tom Collins Thorton and Nathaniel Beckham. 

Thorton and Beckham allegedly stole the man's cell phone and wallet and then demanded his bank card PIN. Police say the duo used the victim's card at an ATM a short time later. 

Thorton was arrested the next day. Two handguns as well the victim's cell phone and wallet were recovered from his car. Detectives also found PCP in Thorton's freezer and digital scales with drug residue. 

Beckham was arrested on Aug. 27. Both men admitted their involvement and face multiple charges related to the robbery.
