I-270 northbound closed due to sign damage near I-70
A crash on Interstate 270 near Frederick that damaged an overhead sign closed the entire northbound highway for several hours because the sign has to come down.
The accident happened early Thursday morning on I-270 near the interchange with Interstate 70 in Frederick, when a car hit a pole holding up the sign.
Drivers were rerouted onto Maryland State Route 340 for the time being. The highway fully reopened just before 1 p.m.
