Marion Christopher Barry arrested for DUI, drug possession in Virginia
D.C. Councilman Marion Barry’s son was arrested earlier this month for allegedly driving under the influence and drug possession in Hampton, Va.
Hampton police arrested Marion Christopher Barry, 33, on Aug. 16 and charged him with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and possession of synthetic marijuana.
Police say Barry was driving a PT Cruiser erratically in the 2000 block of Coliseum Drive at about 9 p.m. Barry had marijuana on him and in his vehicle, police say.
This isn’t the first time Barry has been in trouble with the law.
In 2011, he was given a nine-month suspended sentence after he pleaded guilty to possession of PCP and marijuana.
