Metro single tracking affects Mystics fans, Beliebers
Metro rebuilding will affect travel for Beliebers and basketball fans this weekend.
Trains will be single tracking on the Red Line, causing major delays for those heading to Verizon Center for Saturday's Justin Bieber concert and Sunday's Washington Mystics game.
For those taking the Red Line toward Glenmont, Metro suggests fans walk to Judiciary Square instead of using Gallery Place. Fans who use Gallery Place may have to wait at least 20 minutes before the next train arrives.
Riders will experience minor delays on the Orange Line. Buses will replace trains between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly. The Deanwood and Minnesota Avenue stations will be closed.
The last train of the night will depart New Carrollton at 1:46 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 10:46 p.m. on Sunday.
The Blue Line will also see minor delays. Buses will replace trains between Stadium-Armory and Benning Road. All Blue Line stations will be open.
The last train of the night will depart Largo Town Center at 2:03 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11:03 p.m. on Sunday.
