Quan Sturdivant signed by Washington Redskins
The Washington Redskins added depth at lineback Thursday with the signing of former North Carolina Tar Heels star Quan Sturdivant.
Sturdivant, 24, was originally drafted in 2011 by the Arizona Cardinals and spent part of last season with the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad.
During a standout career in Chapel Hill, Sturdivant recorded 309 tackles, seven sacks and three fumble recoveries.
To make room on the roster for Sturdivant, the Redskins released wide receiver Devery Henderson.
