Randy Allen Taylor denied bond in Alexis Murphy abduction case
LOVINGSTON, Va. (AP/WJLA) - The suspect in the disappearance of a Nelson County teenager was denied bond Thursday.
Forty-eight-year-old Randy Allen Taylor has been held without bond since his arrest on Aug. 11. The bond hearing is scheduled for Thursday afternoon in Nelson County Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court.
Taylor is charged with abduction in the disappearance of 17-year-old Alexis Murphy of Lovingston. He has maintained his innocence.
Taylor waived his right to a preliminary hearing. His case will go directly to the grand jury, which is scheduled to meet on Sept. 24.
