Alexandria warehouse fire investigated by ATF
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) National Response Team (NRT) is investigating a massive industrial fire that tore through an Alexandria warehouse this week.
A thick plume of smoke was seen for miles Monday as the DC Foam recycling facility on Pickett Street engulfed in flames.
The six-alarm fire caused over $1 million in damages and injured one firefighter. There were no other injuries.
The fire was reported around noon and took about four hours to contain.
It could be days before the NRT determines what caused the massive blaze.
