Chobani yogurt pulled from store shelves due to mold
ABC News reports that Chobani yogurt cups bearing the code 16-012 and boasting expiration dates between Sept. 11 and Oct. 7 have a common type of mold that is found in numerous dairy products.
An excess of that mold was causing "swelling" in certain cups though, prompting Chobani to pull some product.
Chobani officials say that less than five percent of its total production is affected by the issue, which is not technically a recall.
According to a report in the Oregonian, scores of people contacted Chobani to complain of a "funny taste" in some cups of their yogurt.
