At Oakton High School, its calm and quiet on Monday. But on Tuesday, students will head back to class.

Yet for some Fairfax County seniors, their school day could be a little different this year.

The school board passed a measure that will allow seniors this year who don't need their first class to graduate to drop up to two first period of classes.

The goal is to give them a later start time.

The students would be required to have their principal and parents sign off.
Students who chose the option wouldn't be able to ride bus.
